Women in Psychiatry are gathering data on gender inequality in the workplace, and specifically the experiences of women who have suffered gender bias and sexual harassment.
Women in Psychiatry are actively involved in advocating for the issues affecting women doctors in training and working in mental health.
Women in Psychiatry presented a symposium at the RANZCP 2022 Congress, titled Women on the Ground: The Experiences of women psychiatrists and trainees. Read more about this in our blog below.
Women in Psychiatry’s inaugural event Pathways to Power was held in Melbourne Victoria in 2019 and showcased a panel of successful women, discussing their career pathways, successes and challenges.
Women in Psychiatry’s inaugural mentorship event in 2020 was cancelled due to COVID-19. It is our intention to develop a women’s network of psychiatrist mentors and trainee mentees in 2022.
